Celebrating

Years

Once a year we invite passionate dancers to audition for our performance company. An exciting opportunity for anyone looking for that performance outlet.


The primary dance disciplines that we showcase include ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, tap and hip hop.​​

​STYLES @ THE AUDITION:
Usually a combination of jazz and contemporary movement.

     
LEVEL:
Intermediate (for most of our dance disciplines)


OTHER FUN ROLES TO FILL:
Dancer, Choreographer, Teacher, Volunteers (Technical, Social, Costume, etc.) 


SEASON:
September - end of April/early May (depending on show week)

     

REHEARSAL DAYS:
Wednesday evenings + Sunday afternoons (Downtown)

CONDITIONS:

  • Members accepted into the performance company must be fully available the week of our annual show, which will occur in either late April or early May. 

  • Membership fees apply once accepted into the company. 

  • Must be 18yrs+ of age.

  • Any and all other dance forms are celebrated and noted when assessing a dancer's background and experience.

  • Headshots and resumes are NOT required.

AUDITION REGISTRATION

Date: Wednesday, September 9th, 2026

Location: 160 Kendal Ave, Building C
George Brown Polytechnic), STUDIO B, Ballet Jorgan

Registration time: 6:30 PM

Audition start time: 7:00 PM

#1.  Complete the online registration form below.

#2.  Email info@momentumdancetoronto.com and let us know you will be attending! We will require all auditioning dancers to complete a registration form at the studio, prior to the audition. We will have copies available at the audition, but feel free to bring your completed form with you!

Momentum Dance Toronto 2026 Audition Registration

BEFORE YOU COMPLETE YOUR AUDITION REGISTGRATION >>> Please let us know if you are available for a full performance week, aiming for end of April/early May 2027.
YES - I will do everything I can to block myself during those weeks.
NO - unfortunately my schedule is too unpredictable this year, but I would still like to audition, maybe for future opportunities.

What style of dance do you enjoy the most

  1. There is no audition fee, however upon being accepted into the performance company, the is an annual membership fee that applies (payment plans available).

  2. This is NOT a paid/honorarium opportunity.

  3. If I am accepted into the performance company, I understand that I have made a commitment and will endeavor to be at all rehearsals and performances throughout the season (Sept. - April/May)

  4. Momentum Dance Toronto (MDT) is not responsible for any injuries that occur during the audition. Dancers are requested to listen to their bodies. MDT will take into account all abilities, levels, etc. We encourage that safe and healthy practice measures are taken at all times.
